The 11th General Conference of the Asian Consortium on Computational Materials Science (ACCMS-11) was held at Kanagawa L-Plaza in Yokohama City during June 1-3, 2025. It was organized by Prof. Hannes Raebiger and Emeritus Prof. Kaoru Ohno at Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University, and Emeritus Prof. Yoshiyuki Kawazoe at NICHe, Tohoku University. A total of 160 participants from 22 countries around the world (including 50 from Japan) gathered to present and discuss cutting-edge research on computational materials science.

This international conference was supported by Yokohama Convention Support Grant from the Yokohama City Visitors Bureau, which ensured sustainable resourcing. Specifically, in order to avoid the use of plastic bottles and cans as much as possible, water servers, coffee pots, and paper cups were provided at the venue, and lunch boxes for all participants were also provided in eco-friendly wooden lunch boxes made by Kiyoken Co., Ltd. – red rice and shumai bento (June 1st) and shumai bento (June 3rd). Additionally, as a novelty giveaway that was fitting for Yokohama, navy blue plastic bags with letters ACCMS-11 and YOKOHAMA printed in white along with scenery of the Minato-Mirai area were created by Tokisho Co., Ltd. in Yokohama and distributed to all participants.
