MAB/PES Workshop: First Remote Meeting

held on January 26, 2022

First remote meeting for the Workshop on UNESCO Man and Biosphere (MAB) Programme and Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) was held mainly by the Yokohama National University (YNU) staff on Jan. 26, 2022 in order to accelerate the research and education on this theme related to UNESCO in YNU. About 10 people including Vice President Satoru Sadohara, Vice President Mayuko Izumi, Director Kiyosaku Ebina, and also Dr. Xu Xiaodai from China participated this meeting led by Prof. Hiroyuki Matsuda.

First, Prof. Hiroyuki Matsuda explained the objectives in detail and then there were variety of questions and answers concerning the research subjects and the system building. There was also a brief explanation about creating a new homepage to open in April, and the meeting ended in about an hour. Please look forward to our future activities of YNU that will contribute to UNESCO.
